This role, working as a Bid Manager within our Business Development and Account Management teams, is primarily focused on new business and / or account managed opportunities within the EMEA region, but will also involve supporting opportunities within the local markets as well as for offshore locations. This is a broad role that will require you to work on potentially high-value contracts and therefore needs someone with the capability to manage and deliver bids through collaborating with peers and influencing colleagues, across different business functions and various countries to support timely delivery of component parts of any bid you will work on.

 

With the opportunity to manage development of bid responses for many well-known and exciting global brands, as well as a need to create engaging and differentiated proposals, this role will benefit from someone who is able to project manage the bid throughout the sales cycle and with a flair for design and a creative mind set plus excellent writing skills

 

On the standard elements, an eye for detail is vital, across the whole process from pricing to documentation, as well as having a keen commercial sense, that will help refine any of the bids that you manage.

 

Of course when it comes to creating winning bid proposals, it’s about pulling together as a team. Throughout the bid process you will lead a team from multiple disciplines and different countries. Your ability to communicate effectively with the team will be critical. A winning bid will provide the potential client the best perspective on which to judge our proposition and this involves understanding and communicating the specific USPs that are going to lift your proposal above the competition and creating a compelling argument that convinces the audience. With this in mind, you will need to have ability to assess the internal requirements to support delivery and the management and motivational skills to involve the key individuals to achieve best results.

 

A summary of the key elements of the role would be:

  • Design and develop compelling, high-quality, winning bid documentation, tailored to each opportunity, to achieve profitable business growth
  • Facilitation of bid activities ensuring compliance with Global Bid Processes in order to ensure governance, manage commercial risk and maximise use of resources for input
  • Manage the bid information; documentation, activities, resources and communication flow so that the bid is delivered successfully, on time, to standard and budget
  • Build positive and professional relationships with business development/sales, commercial, account management and internal departments so that our image is enhanced, sales are achieved more readily and service is delivered effectively
  • Collate, create, store and share information about our clients, products and service capabilities so that knowledge is built, information re-used, productivity is improved, consistency of message to clients is achieved and our brand is enhanced
  • Participate in prospect site visits, sales presentations preparation and delivery, as required
  • Liaison with EMEA and Global bid teams, where appropriate to ensure we maximise global experience, knowledge and collateral
  • Manage the end-to-end bid process through meetings to kick off the effort and ensure the team is updated periodically throughout the process to closure.
  • Support and facilitate completion of preliminary bid materials (e.g., RFI) , development of detailed responses including pricing and facilitation of site visits and follow-ups

     

    Your qualification should include:

  • University degree in Literature, Economy, Social Science, Journalism or comparable
  • Native English
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one other major European language would be an advantage
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Bid Management experience
  • Creativity and a flair for design
  • Contact Center experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
