Summary and Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Director, Go-to-Market - AmeriPac, the Sr. Project Manager, Marketing/Project Manager, and Marketing operates independently in a fast-paced environment and is good at prioritization, organization and communication. They are responsible for the day-to-day flow of offline/online projects through the AmeriPac Marketing department and assisting the teams in bringing projects to fruition via detailed follow-through.

 

  • Working with a cross-functional team of leaders in global marketing, marketing ops, sales/sales ops, demand gen, copywriters, studio/design, social hub, recruitment marketing and campaign managers, the Sr. Project Manager is at the hub of it all.
  • Build adaptive project management style to suit teams e.g. SCRUM vs. Agile – will need to train and implement amongst the teams.
  • Be the ears and eyes to all teams, to initiate projects and manage their successful completion.
  • Work with marketing and cross-departmental stakeholders to evolve process-related needs of the department; analyze ways to increase efficiency and foster adoption and use of project management platform – Asana or Wrike; research possible solutions; and make/implement recommendations to continue to build lightweight processes that enable scalability.
  • Monitor and follow up on incoming project requests to ensure all projects are prioritized and assigned resources in a timely manner; lead weekly progress meetings to review work queues and communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for project reporting and postmortem updates.
  • Oversee daily job flow, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and part of the process. Track milestones for all projects; adjust schedules as necessary, communicate and coordinate resources with other teams (e.g., translation & localization) as needed. Clearly communicate the status of all projects and risks.
  • Optimize overall project management process for efficiency through ongoing measurement and reporting on project lead times, the number of projects in progress, etc. Provide weekly & monthly executive reporting.
  • Using team’s project management tool and building reports for executive leadership. Report on all team projects – forecasting, status, competition, post mortem, etc.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum: 5-7 (Sr.) / 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in a Marketing environment.
  • Live and breathe all marketing projects managed throughout the AmeriPac marketing team. The most proactive organized member of the team. The role requires exceptional project management skills.
  • Proactively identify projects for the AmeriPac team.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at any one time. Ability to work quickly and decisively, switching from project management tasks to critical thinking.
  • Strong understanding of interdepartmental structure and dynamics; capable of managing up, or sideways as needed; uses diplomacy to balance competing project requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead new initiatives and develop processes from scratch – seeking a proactive thinker who can connect the dots (i.e. new sales will require new recruitment initiatives, which will need marketing campaigns to ramp and onboard new employees, etc.)
  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills. Problem solver who is willing to take initiative by going above and beyond to ensure deliverables are met and problem resolution is seen through.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Asana, Wrike (or other project management tools); experience with Agile, SCRUM, LEAN, etc. methodology a plus.
  • Preferred: Certified PMP.
  • Knowledge of marketing, sales process, administration and support needs (recruitment a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work well with c-suite, sales professionals, senior managers, directors, etc.
  • High level of proficiency with various software applications programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other applications in the Office Suite. Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
