The Terms

  • Salary  range starts from circa £45,000 per annum

Job Summary

Working within a hybrid role serving sites based in Exeter and Plymouth, the role serves as the functional leader for one or more key HR responsibilities with major focus on associate relations, compliance, training, engagement and other HR functions.

Responsible for designing and implementation of project, strategy and planning, such as implementing effective people strategies that build people capabilities, improve the employee experience of the organisation as a workplace, and support business growth.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Working directly on site with the Site Director, Senior Managers and other stakeholders to implement HR operational strategy and policy. As well as working alongside the site HR generalist and a wider team of HR professionals throughout the UK.
  • Must have the ability to identify necessary changes, present various solutions and to positively collaborate with the team.
  • Constantly strive to create strategic ways to improve employee relations, health and wellbeing, engagement and company growth.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of employment law and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
  • To advise, coach and support on all Employee Relations issues affecting the business including re-organisation, sickness absence, disciplinary, capability, grievance meetings, poor performance etc.
  • Manage complex ER and Capability cases and support Performance Development Plans.
  • Plan associate relations goals and action items to meet site goals and improve employee retention.
  • Analyse past performance and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Recommend solutions and follows up as needed.
  • Proficient user of MS Suite (including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate the Internet and corporate Intranet, including how to search and research.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications requried

  • 5 or more years progressively responsible experience as a Human Resources Manager or equivalent.
  • Generalist, or Specialist with experience in associate relations, learning and development, problem and conflict resolution and recruiting non-exempt personnel in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing others.
  • Experience demonstrating extensive knowledge, interpretation, and application of employment laws.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering HR training and development programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Experienced in leading positive change.
  • Call Center industry experience preferred.
  • CIPD level 5 qualification desired but not essential
