Learning Tribes, a subsidiary of Sitel Group (70000+employees globally), currently delivers industry-leading blended learning solutions to global clients through offices in US, Brazil, France and China. The VPO will partner with the leadership team and operations team to execute client contract in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining quality work. Must possess strong leadership skills, hands-on approach, ability to work on own and make key decisions within the areas of responsibility.

Supervisor and reporting relationships: you will report directly to the CEO.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountable for effectively managing the budget, schedule, quality, and delivery of final content through our DNA. Plans and manages the resources and activities of an Operations team and its vendors, optimizing quality, resource efficiency, scale, and time to market. Hires, manages, mentors, trains, and develops a team of people who effectively manage Learning solutions (ILT, VILT, Elearning, Mobile learning…). Collaborates with sales and solution teams, operations in abroad offices, and other key stakeholders to ensure team deliverables are prioritized against strategy and revenue goals.

• Has overall accountability for project budgets and schedules to Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate (QA), according to technical and pedagogical specifications. Proactively monitors milestone and completion dates and ensures that budget/schedule changes and risks are identified, documented, communicated, escalated, and appropriately addressed.

• Has overall accountability for the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of Learning solutions delivery. Provides recommendations, input, and approval for strategic sourcing decisions, including new, expanded, and changing vendors. Drafts vendor Request for Proposals (RFPs) and related work request documents and evaluates responses. May collaborate with Legal and Finance to create and administer Statements of Work (SOW) and other contractual vendor documents.

• Serves as the primary operations contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Uses deep technical, content, and discipline domain knowledge to consult and offer solutions for new and complex projects and programs.

• Supports a culture of high performance through regular performance feedback and guidance to direct reports, modeling approachability and composure under pressure, fostering an environment in which new ideas and opposing viewpoints are respectfully considered, and actively developing and empowering the leadership bench.

• Proactively fosters and reinforces a culture of collaboration and service by facilitating partnerships with peers, team management, and leaders, other offices, and vendors to ensure content production processes are completed effectively and efficiently. Leads and represents Operations team in cross-functional projects. Seeks out and acts on stakeholder feedback to improve team performance.

• Hires and manages permanent and temporary staff. Responsible for systems set up, training plan creation and execution, onboarding support, determining success metrics, and providing necessary documentation, training to ensure success.

• Mentors, trains and develops staff, providing input, growth opportunities, feedback, coaching, and training designed to improve performance. Proactively assesses the strengths and opportunities for existing team members and initiates succession and career development plans. Facilitates the strategic expansion of technical and business skills that optimize and enhance the performance of individuals and the overall team. Frequently communicates with staff to reinforce effective behaviors and to address and correct performance issues.

• Plans, manages, and allocates staff priorities and budgets, with input from key partners and stakeholders. Identifies and escalates need for additional resources to ensure delivery dates and quality expectations are met. Provides budgetary estimates upon request. Proactively resolves conflicts in priorities and resources.

• Provides strategic direction to the team and vendors as it relates to learning solutions quality check (QC) activities, processes, and standards. Has overall accountability for ensuring adherence to policies and practices that ensure the high-quality delivery of training content and products. Accountable for ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Go/No-Go process.

• Manages production workflows, ensuring that processes are documented and communicated.

• Accountable for the creation, delivery, effectiveness and accuracy of a variety of reports that inform forecasting and management of budgets and schedules.

• Performs additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business goals.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Mimumum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and 5 years of relevant work experience. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience or the equivalent demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and training staff who manage learning projects within strict deadlines and budgets.

• Passion for the educational technology industry and drive towards results

• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills; able to predict, identify, and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology; ability to implement new processes, procedures, and standards, in an environment of continuous improvement.

• Proven ability to use discretion when working with or in possession of sensitive or confidential information.

• Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service; demonstrated willingness to take ownership of customer issues and see them through to resolution.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively inform and/or manage budgets and the allocation of staff resources across multiple projects and/or on a program level.

• Experience initiating, leading, and overseeing process improvement initiatives.

• Surperb written and verbal communication skills are a must, including the ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and diplomatically with expert and non-expert staff, vendors, and senior management; Proven ability to calmly and effectively discuss and represent unpopular or controversial topics and perspectives.

Experience in vendor management, including developing and approving contract deliverables and pricing strategies and guiding senior staff in vendor administration.

• Experience managing remote resources and staff in geographically dispersed areas.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical concepts and communicate with technical staff.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job location will be in Miami.
Compensation to be discussed depending on the candidate’s profile and business experience.

Non public : $100 - 120K + bonus
