The Position

Title:                          VP, Global Training and Development          

Reports to:              Global CHRO

Location:                  Miami, FL

 

Overview of Position                   

The VP, Global Training and Development is a new role for Sitel Group.  This role’s mandate is to develop and execute a best-in-class Learning and Development strategy for international operations and corporate staff.  He/She will work closely with the Global CHRO and other key leaders to define functional standards for our Learning and Development teams around the globe.  In addition, this role will be responsible for the development of internal professional and leadership development programs. 

The successful incumbent with be self-directed with strong collaboration and influencing skills to build credibility with management at all levels.  He/She will be seen as the thought partner for business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

Training Modernization:  Define functional standards and L&D framework to achieve 70% enterprise consistency; and 30% local flexibility to accommodate local client and cultural needs.  Framework to include standards for L&D talent, learning environments and quality/continuous improvement processes.  Work closely with Learning Tribes and internal leadership to incorporate Learning Tribes strategy into the functional DNA.  

Digital/LMS Strategy:  Assess current LMS capabilities, effectiveness and cost.  Build a roadmap for the future that includes a digital, flexible, and engaging learning platform with seamless data integration with other talent programs. 

Professional & Leadership Development:  Support internal talent needs and business performance by delivering flexible a Professional and Leadership Development curriculum framework aligned to Global Operating Standards and functional competencies. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in related field preferred
  • Fifteen-plus years of learning and development experience
  • Subject matter expertise in the field of Learning and Development, including comprehensive knowledge of and ability to apply modern curriculum design and development models, learning technologies, change management practices, and adult learning philosophies.
  • Successful track record in developing trust-based partnerships with a diverse and distributed workforce in a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment, and the ability to translate process into this kind of environment
  • Experience leading and/or facilitating large scale and effective change initiatives related to training curriculum, onboarding and team building
  • Strong business acumen and a proven record of partnering with Operations leadership and HR to design and implement efficient and effective talent development programs.
  • Proven track record of working in a technology focus digital environment with knowledge of best in class LMS platforms
  • Demonstrated leadership as a hands-on and detail-oriented leader; a player/coach for his/her teams. Additionally, this executive must be comfortable operating at all levels within the organization and with multiple and diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in building solid relationships with employees, customers and other influencers
  • Comfort with frequent domestic and international travel
