Learning Tribes is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for recruitment and the day-to-day human resources functions. This individual has to be a team player who is proactive, engaging, knowledgeable, and supportive. This position reports directly to the COO of Learning Tribes and will be important contributor to, and member of, the leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment:

  • Sources and recruits qualified candidates for placement in professional and/or management-level positions.
  • Acts as an advocate of the Company, identifies potential candidate sources and initiates/maintains relationships with a network of contacts to continually increase the quality and size of applicant pools.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand job specifications and business staffing needs.
  • Assists in defining applicable legal requirements and qualifications for positions.
  • Conducts technical and behavioral interviews/assessments as appropriate to determine best match to jobs and ensure associate success.
  • Schedules and arranges candidate interviews with appropriate members of the tribe. 
  • Influences and negotiates offers. Evaluates selection criteria and testing techniques to ensure compliance to standards.
  • Determines appropriate advertising and outreach techniques.
  • Ensures adherence to applicable Federal, State, provincial and local regulations governing the employment process.
  • Maintains relationships with 3rd party outside recruitment agencies.  This includes, but is not limited to, negotiating and overseeing contract agreements and candidate pipelines. 
  • Manages and handles all temporary staffing needs.

 

Human Resources:

  • Handles associate relations. 
  • Handles HRIS entries and personnel research, while complying with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. 
  • Actively supports retention initiatives through the execution of programs developed to improve employee morale and attrition.
  • Guides and mentors associates.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and exit interviews.

 

 

Experience Target: 

  • 3+ years progressive work experience in recruitment and human resources with successful experience in associate relations.
  • Additional experience in other HR disciplines strongly preferred. 
  • Experience demonstrating general knowledge, interpretation, and application of employment laws. 
  • Learning and Development industry experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in conducting behavioral interviews. 

 

 

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: 

  • Knowledge with Applicant Tracking Systems, SuccessFactors a plus.
  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Ability to serve as a change agent.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, self-starter and thrives in a team environment.
  • Ability to listen effectively to interpret, articulate, and efficiently resolve issues.
  • Ability to investigate issues thoroughly and objectively.
  • Ability to ensure legal and policy compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with management, associates, peers, the general public and clients. 
  • Ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills including strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills and negotiation skills.
  • Good problem solving, organization and time management skills.   
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office preferred.

 

Education:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • HR related courses / degrees highly preferred.

 

Special Certifications: 

  • Professional Human Resources certification and/or continuing HR/Legal education a plus.

 

Travel Required: 

  • Minimal - up to 10%

 

Compensation:

  • Will be determined based on the candidate profile and business experience
