POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Project Strategy (“HPS”) is the leader of the Project Management (“PM”) Team, and is reponsible for, among other things, overseeing, directly contributing towards, and streamlining processes in support of the Project Management Team goals, strategies, and outcomes.

  • The HPS is directly responsible for revenue recognition, contractor cost management and delievrables, project quality, adherence to deadlines,  and the day-to-day operations of the PM department.
  • The HPS sets goals for each PM member and is directly responsible for each PM achieving his/her goals.
  • Accountable for effectively managing the budget, schedule, quality, and delivery of final content, and ensuring the inclusion of the Learning Tribes DNA.(process/tools/methodologies/principles/etc.), throughout.
  • Plans and manages the resources and activities of the PM team and its vendors, optimizing quality, resource efficiency, scale, and time to market.
  • Hires, manages, mentors, trains, and develops a team of Project Managers who effectively manage Learning solutions (ILT, VILT, Elearning, Mobile learning…).
  • Collaborates with the Solutions Team (including Solutions Managers and Account Managers), operations in abroad offices, and other key stakeholders to ensure team deliverables are prioritized against strategy and revenue goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Validates project scope (including objectives, training solutions, project methodology, project timeline, and deliverables) provided by the Solutions Managers and Account Managers, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring feasibility.
  • Ensures resource availability and allocation.
  • Supports the PM team through the development and updating of detailed and realistic project plans, while tracking progress.
  • Ensures consistency in documentation and processes is maintained from one project to another and/or from one PM to another.
  • Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Reports and escalatse to management as needed.
  • Manages client/stakeholder relationships, working hand-in-hand with the Account Managers.
  • Continually performs risk management exercises to minimize project risk.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Responsible for all aspects of revenue recognition.
  • Responsible for the PM sourcing and staffing of each new project.
  • Interaction with the Creative/Production Team/Team Lead.
  • Primary point of contact for New Client Project Onboarding.
  • Cost management.
  • Serves as PM individual contributor and PM Team lead.
  • Responsible for the onboarding and new hire training for all new PMs.
  • Negotiates and reviews contractor rates, contractors SOWs, invoices, Etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • Experience in growing, managing and inspiring internal teams; strong leadership and organizational skills must be complemented by relationship building management style.
  • Perform senior-level client negotiation.
  • Management skills, with clear and substantive speaking, writting, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the L&D/Training industry (corporate).
