Sales Manager (m/f)


The Sales Manager will manage the bidding process for high revenue and complex contact centre outsourcing opportunities with primary focus on the German market. The bids will for Contact Centre Outsourcing services focusing on customer service, technical support, sales, outbound and back office service functions. The Sales  Manager is responsible for working with the Sales and Account Management teams and to orchestrate the creation of the solution and proposal, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, highlighting Sitel’s value proposition and is commercially compelling. The Sales Manager will lead and manage a bid from start to finish, taking ownership of the internal bid process and key outputs. They will support Sales and Solutions on keeping with existing and new clients and will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to secure their input into the bid.


  • Work with Sales, Solutions, IT, Operations, Finance and other Win team members as required across all regions of Sitel, to develop winning bids
  • Work with Sales and Account Management teams to develop and identify key win themes.
  • In conjunction with the Global Sales and Solutions Organisation, develop winning solutions
  • Undertake bid research to enable Sitel to offer a value proposition that differentiates Sitel from the competition
  • Organise and run bid initiation and progress review meetings
  • Question response management – work with the core team to allocate response questions; chase responses; write original responses; re-write, edit and improve key responses; evaluate responses and amend bid in light of answers; and manage all content
  • Complete analysis to allow differentiated and value add responses to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs (Requests For Information / Proposal / Quotation) to be submitted
  • Evaluation and analysis of client objectives, requirements and how value can be added; collaboration with Sales team in evaluating multi-geography strategic and operational solutions and commercial approach
  • Assistance, when needed, with management of the bid and solutions process from qualification to client delivery including kick-off meeting, solution designs, content creation, document reviews, client presentations and site visits
  • Ensure all materials are written in an accurate, high quality and professional manner
  • Review for the quality of output from the Win Teams
  • Identification of internal and client risks and on going risk management of the solution through to the implementation handover
  • Participation in client presentations, site visits and the due diligence processes at client sites where required
  • Gather information and data from a range of sources such as RFP documents, existing clients, industry magazines, competitor profiling, etc.) to allow detailed data analysis and recommendations to be made
  • Take personal responsibility to understand and comply with all company and client security requirements and policies.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that may be requested



Bachelor’s degree or similar in any of the following or related areas: Marketing, Business Studies, etc. 

Experience Target:

Minimum four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales (B2B). Fully understand contact centre operations, dynamics, and how improvements and innovation might be delivered. Provided thought leadership experience in relevant organisations.



  • Fluent English/ Excellent written and spoken German
  • Strong bid management experience
  • Solutioning skills to differentiate bids
  • Proven capability of delivering successful bids / proposals
  • Experience of the Contact Centre outsourcing industry
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the German and eastern European outsource markets
  • Experience in developing and implementing bid winning strategies; experience in liaising with clients and third parties.
  • Ability to request, collect and edit information and transform this into a coherent offer; ability to take unstructured and badly articulated information and produce clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication; ability to effectively assess problems, define impacts and develop solutions.
  • Fast and accurate research abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationship at Director Level internally and externally; ability to own a bid and work independently.
  • Advanced MS word, Powerpoint, skills and proficient in MS Office.
