Position Summary

 

The Director of Marketing and Lead Generation will be responsible for filling the top of the funnel with qualified leads, while routinely tracking and reporting upon program/channel effectiveness, in addition to managing LT social channels, ongoing website optimization, and marketing-related events and initiatives (conferences, award submissions, etc.). 

 

  • Responsible for inbound and outbound lead generation activities. 
  • Take projects from concept to implementation and through reporting, providing both management and hands-on involvement in all lead generation marketing activities.
  • Passion and expertise utilizing multiple digital channels to move prospects through the buying cycle. From driving awareness through various advertising channels to promoting our great content and nurturing prospects who are not quite ready to buy – your job is to work the funnel.
  • We are a metrics-driven organization and test everything. You’ll manage creative and effective lead generation activities including email, search, sponsorships, direct marketing, social tools, and online events.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Define the lead generation strategy:

  • Set, monitor, and review the lead generation strategy to ensure that marketing and sales goals are aligned.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term multi-channel campaigns to drive leads and build and grow the sales pipeline.
  • Develop client personas and understand their buying cycles and triggers.
  • Continuously seek and identify new lead generation channels, communities, and technology to drive qualified leads.
  • Follow, track and benchmark relevant competitors.
  • Identify new markets and advertising tactics to encourage business growth.
  • Manage third-party lead generation vendors/partners to ensure alignment.

Execute the lead generation strategy:

  • Develop targeted lead generation campaigns to support the sales leaders deliver on ongoing revenue goals.
  • Continuously monitor and track all lead generation.
  • Own traffic-driving campaigns, from click-to-cash (Pipeline management).
  • Lead A/B testing strategies and execution across all channels.
  • Monitor and optimize digital campaigns and programs.
  • Lead outbound e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Manage marketing automation tools.
  • Raise awareness and enhance Learning Tribes positioning by consistently projecting on-brand messaging through all digital channels.
  • Manage and balance the lead generation budget.
  • Maximize the number of marketing leads (MQL) generated.
  • Improve on-site conversions via landing pages and manage and sign-up flow.
  • Assist with content development to align with all campaigns
  • Deliver performance reports to leadership.
  • Track and analyze digital program effectiveness to determine campaign ROI.

General Marketing operations:

  • Communication strategy; design and implementation, promotional material information to drive business.
  • Manage external, 3rd party marketing agencies including website design.
  • Coordinate multiple channels of marketing. 
  • Manage budgets for marketing campaigns.
  • Evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and improve SEO, and Social media strategy (design, implementation, and track analytics).
  • Communication strategy (design and implementation)
  • Online events/activities: webinars, coffees, interviews, etc.
  • F2F Events: Learning Solutions, DevLearn, ATD, Awards, etc.
  • Relationship with Industry Experts and Analysts.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree: Marketing, Advertising, Business Studies, Communications, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in, among other things:
    • Demand Generation within a SaaS and solution sales environment.
    • Knowledge and management of CRM tools Pipedrive/Salesforce.
    • Experience managing Email Marketing Campaigns.
    • Expertise in Marketing Automation tools.
    • General content creation knowledge (HTML/emails/Writing).
    • Strong Analytical background.
    • SEM tool certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, Talent Development, Training, and the L&D industry.
  • Certification in Google AdWords and Google Analytics.  
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with C-level executives.
  • Understanding of digital ecosystem landscape and relationships.
  • Successful history of a direct impact on new business sales, with the ability to prove consistent delivery against targets.
  • Track record of surpassing quota in past positions.
  • Demonstrated ownership of all aspects of lead generation.
  • Experience in bringing innovative/market-defining products to market.
  • Must work well in a team selling environment.
  • Proven sales hunter and closer would be a plus.
