Make a good first impression!

You only have one chance to make a good first impression - so make it count! 

Get there, early – you don’t want to be late for your interview

Beware your body language - make eye contact, be friendly and even if you’re nervous, don’t forget to smile because a positive attitude goes a long way in the customer service industry

Dress for success – make sure you look professional

And be polite - thank the interviewer for their time (you could even send a hand-written note!)




Practice makes perfect

Practice "interviewing" with a friend. 

Be prepared - research a list of commonly asked interview questions and get your answers ready

Rehearse your lines – keep answering questions to build your confidence

Listen to yourself – record yourself with your smartphone to hear how you’ll sound in the interview

Then keep on practicing – be sure you’re speaking clearly and articulating your answers

Make a connection – relax and be friendly to build a rapport with your interviewer

Show your strengths - answer questions with confidence

Show your initiative – bring your own questions to ask the interviewer

And be honest – answer questions truthfully and don't undersell or oversell yourself
