WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Learning Specialist, our people are your customers. You play a pivotal part in delivering and planning great learning experiences to support the associate experience and journey.

 

We advocate a People First approach throughout our business with Customer Service as our area of expertise. Your role is to support all aspects of training delivery and content creation, as well as the development, onboarding and certification of your junior colleagues. You’ll get stuck in with projects that help us understand and develop our offering to create learning environments where our associates can continuously develop to reach their highest potential no matter their role.

 

Crucially, you’ll provide impactful learning experiences to people from all backgrounds, helping them understand the role that they are in.

 

ABOUT YOU

It’s important that you are an experienced learning practitioner and have a demonstrable experience in leading classroom led training sessions, ideally in a contact centre environment. You’ll be empathetic, patient and have a strategic vision and foresight to effectively deliver in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

 

It is essential you have passion for people and great customer service in order to create an environment for success.

 

You will be an experienced member of our Learning team, supporting us as we identify the current and future skills requirements of our organisation, creating flexible learning interventions to meet the diverse needs of our workforce.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify gaps in existing training programmes and work with internal and external stakeholders to create effective programmes using available technologies and learning theories
  • Support key projects from creation through to delivery stages
  • Support and manage Learning Specialist development through observations, coaching and feedback sessions
  • Deputise for the Learning Manager as appropriate
  • Onboard and certify new Learning Specialists on your team
  • Lead individual group and quarterly training reviews
  • Analysis of training data including the creation of reports

 

YOUR PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE

Training: At least 2 years’ experience delivering classroom-led training sessions, with the proven ability to create structured training materials

Expertise: Previous experience working in a contact centre environment is essential

Time Management: Ability to manage your time effectively to meet strict deadlines

Communication Skills: Excellent telephone, computer/keyboard, verbal and written communication skills.

Motivated: Self-motivated, articulate and enthusiastic

Ability: Good numeric and verbal reasoning skills and excellent presentation skills

Critical-Thinking: Effective problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills

Planner: Ability to think and plan strategically

Handling: Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders

Background: A clear criminal background check

Desirable: Training/L&D qualification(s)

 

KEY POINTS

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Kingston-upon-Thames, KT2 6LZ (on-site)

Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Hours: Core business hours

Contract Duration: Permanent
